JWM Neurology Participates in Clinical Research Trials
JWM Neurology conducts clinical research trials. If you have certain neurological diseases or conditions, you may qualify to participate in a clinical research trial at our practice. Ask your JWM neurologist regarding you or your family member's particular situation when you come to your appointment.
What is a clinical trial?
A clinical trial is a "study" sponsored by a pharmaceutical company or other organization (such as the government). A clinical trial is conducted to determine if a particular medication is safe and effective to fight a specific disease or condition.
- Clinical trials utilize the latest, state-of-the-art treatments before they become widely available.
- Patients often get their treatments at reduced or no cost.
- Clinical trials are a way for patients to actively participate in their treatment.
- By participating in a clinical trial, patients are contributing to medical knowledge that will help others in the future.
JWM Neurology is currently enrolling patients for participation in clinical studies who have the following conditions:
- Multiple Sclerosis
- Epileptic Seizures
- Chemotherapy induced Peripheral Neuropathy
We are continually adding more clinical trials at our practice and will update our website with information.
