CLINICAL RESEARCH

JWM Neurology conducts clinical research studies for multiple neurologic conditions.

JWM Neurologists conduct clinical research studies. You may qualify to participate in clinical research at our practice if you have certain neurological conditions or diseases. Be sure to ask your JWM neurologist for more information at your next appointment.

JWM Neurology’s research department has been in operation since 2005. We have a dedicated Research Manager and specially trained clinical study coordinators who assist our neurologists with the recruitment of and conducting of the studies. Over the years, we have participated in clinical studies for a vast array of neurological diagnosis including but not limited to:

Multiple Sclerosis
Alzheimer’s Disease and Other DEMENTIAs
Headache (adult and pediatric)
Parkinson’s Disease
Epilepsy (adult and pediatric)
Restless Leg Syndrome
Tourette’s Disorder

Why Participate In Neurologic Research?

The goal of the JWM research department is to provide our patients access to options other than the current FDA (Food and Drug Administration) approved medications. This enables us to be on the cutting edge for our patients. We find that they enjoy participating in research for a few reasons:

Some want to be the first to get new medication to treat a difficult condition.
Some want to help a disease field as a whole or help to advance or improve an already approved drug.
Others like the experience and find it to be rewarding.
